Our History & Legacy
Darul Uloom Sheeri (Regd.) was established in 1982 by a group of visionary Islamic scholars and community leaders in Sheeri, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir. What began as a small madrasa with just 20 students has now grown into one of North Kashmir's most respected Islamic institutions.
Over the past four decades, Darul Uloom Sheeri has remained steadfast in its commitment to preserving and propagating authentic Islamic knowledge. The institution follows the traditional Dars-e-Nizami curriculum while integrating contemporary subjects to prepare students for both religious and worldly responsibilities.
The founder, Maulana Ghulam Mohammad Qasmi (RA), envisioned an institution where students would receive not just religious education but also moral and ethical training. Today, that vision continues through the dedicated efforts of our faculty and management.
